Kim Dong-hyun is a retired South Korean mixed martial artist and TV personality best known internationally for competing in the UFC and later captaining Team Korea on Netflix's Physical: Asia, where his team won the inaugural season.

Early Life

Born on 17 November 1981 in Suwon, South Korea, Kim Dong-hyun trained in judo and other combat sports before turning professional in mixed martial arts, eventually becoming one of the first Korean fighters to break through on the global MMA stage.

Career

Kim built a long career as a welterweight contender in the UFC, earning wins over several ranked opponents and helping popularise MMA in South Korea.
