Katherine LaPrell is an American model and reality television personality from Los Angeles, California. She was 28 when she appeared on season 6 of Netflix's Too Hot to Handle, which was released in July and August 2024. She and Charlie Jeer finished as runners-up.
LaPrell was presented on the show as one of the loudest and most outspoken people in the villa. Her season was also remembered for an emotional finale in which she spoke openly about feeling abandoned by her father.
Early Life
LaPrell grew up in the Los Angeles area. During the season 6 finale she said that her father left the family when she was a child, and that all she had wanted was to be loved by him. She described herself as a people-pleaser who feared that showing her real emotions would make people leave.
Before joining the show, she was working as a model in Los Angeles.
Career
LaPrell was working as a model in Los Angeles when she was cast in Too Hot to Handle season 6. The season was filmed at Triton Villa in the Turks and Caicos Islands and released in three batches: episodes 1 to 4 on 19 July 2024, episodes 5 to 7 on 26 July, and episodes 8 to 10 on 2 August 2024.
She arrived on day one and was first drawn to Charlie Jeer, but he kissed three women on the first day and was sent to the show's banishment quarters. She then coupled up with Louis Russell, and the pair drew criticism from housemates for breaking rules. Midway through the season she ended things with Louis to pair with Charlie, and the two stayed together to the finale. They placed runner-up behind winners Bri Balram and Demari Davis, who took $100,000 of the $125,000 prize fund.
After filming, LaPrell and Jeer made their relationship official. Charlie travelled to Los Angeles to meet her friends and family. According to Wikipedia's season summary, they split in 2025 because of the long distance. She continues to model and posts on Instagram as @katherine_laprell.
