Sarah Abo is an Australian television journalist and presenter, born in Damascus, Syria, on November 8, 1986. She is best known as a co-host of the Nine Network breakfast program Today and for her reporting work on 60 Minutes.
Sarah Abo was born on 8 November 1986 in Damascus, Syria, and moved with her family to Melbourne when she was four. The Australian journalist graduated from Monash University, reported for SBS World News and Dateline, joined 60 Minutes, and became a co-host of Nine's Today.
Early Life
Abo was born in Damascus and moved to Australia with her family in 1990, when she was four. She grew up in Melbourne, attended Our Lady of Mercy College in Heidelberg and graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), majoring in journalism.
Career
Abo began her television career at Network 10 in Adelaide in 2008 before working as a reporter in Melbourne. She joined SBS in 2013, presenting and reporting for programs including SBS World News, Dateline and Insight. She later joined Nine, reported for 60 Minutes and became co-host of Today.
Sarah Abo left Today early in July 2026 due to pregnancy-related health issues and later welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Sonny, with husband Cyrus Moran.
