Biography
Chinenye Nnebe is a Nigerian actress and model who works in Nollywood. According to Legit.ng, she was born on 5 April 1997 in Asaba, Delta State, which made her 29 in 2026. She is of Igbo heritage and has appeared in more than 50 Nigerian films, many of them released on YouTube, where Nollywood dramas reach large audiences.
She comes from a film family. Her mother is the Nollywood costume designer, director and producer Uche Nancy, and her sister Sonia Uche is also an actress. Nnebe is known for romantic and family dramas, often playing young women caught up in love triangles or family disputes.
Early Life
Nnebe is the youngest of four daughters of Uche Nancy, and grew up around film sets because of her mother's work in the industry. Her sisters are Ijeoma, Chinanu and the actress Sonia Uche.
She attended St. Augustine College in Asaba for secondary school. She then studied in Ghana, graduating from Zenith University College in Accra with a bachelor's degree in business administration in June 2019.
Career
Nnebe first appeared on screen as a child and became a regular Nollywood performer in her late teens. Her filmography includes the 2015 drama Dry, and she has credited Stubborn Beauty as the film that brought her wider attention.
Her other credits include Out of Breath, Rich Mum, Poor Mum, Stitches, Unroyal Majesty, Loving Cherry, More Than Sisters, Living Nightmare, Voice of a Mother, Slay Mother-in-Law and Home Apart. Many of these were released directly to YouTube channels. Online distribution has helped her build a following both in Nigeria and among Nigerians abroad.
