Biography
Choi Mina Sue (Korean: 최미나수) is a South Korean beauty queen and television personality who won Miss Earth 2022, becoming the first woman from South Korea to take that title. Born on February 22, 1999, in Sydney, Australia, she represents South Korea and was 27 years old during her appearance on Single's Inferno.
She reached a much wider audience in January 2026 as a cast member of Season 5 of Netflix's Korean dating reality series Single's Inferno. Her choices on the island made her one of the season's most talked-about participants, and the show's producers later pointed to cast members such as Choi as a reason the season ranked No. 2 worldwide among Netflix's non-English TV shows.
Outside pageantry and reality television, Choi has worked in Korean entertainment, appearing in cameo roles in several dramas and competing on variety and fashion competition programmes.

Career
Choi began competing in pageants in Korea in 2021. She won the Miss Gyeonggi Incheon regional title on October 15, 2021, which qualified her for Miss Korea 2021, where she placed first runner-up. As a Miss Korea runner-up she was chosen to represent the country as Miss Earth Korea 2022.
On November 29, 2022, she won Miss Earth 2022 at Okada Manila in the Philippines. She had also placed first in several preliminary events, including swimsuit and long gown rounds. Her reign focused on environmental work, including a blue carbon documentary project and a visit to a plastic recycling plant in Vietnam in 2023. She later returned to the pageant as a judge for the 2024 Miss Earth finale.
After her reign Choi moved into entertainment. She placed seventh on Channel A's survival show Battle for Tenancy: Penthouse, and made cameo appearances in DNA Lover (TV Chosun, 2024), Law and the City (tvN, 2025) and Netflix's Melo Movie (2025). In 2025 she signed an exclusive management contract with Chorokbaem Entertainment.
In January 2026 she joined Single's Inferno Season 5. She drew strong online reactions while the season aired and turned off comments on her Instagram, and her friend Jasmin Selberg, Miss International 2022, publicly defended her. Choi left the island paired with Lee Sung-hoon (Samuel Lee), one of a record five final couples, though at the reunion the pair said they had stayed friends rather than dating. Later in 2026 she placed fourth on tvN's Kill It: Style Creator Showdown, was a guest on Screwballs, was nominated for Best New Female Entertainer at the Blue Dragon Series Awards and won Rising Star of the Year at the Global OTT Awards.
