Early Life
H'Hen Niê grew up in Cư M'gar district, the third of six children of Y'Krin Êban and H'Ngơn Niê. Her first language is Rade, and she did not learn Vietnamese until the eighth grade. As a teenager she helped her family on a coffee farm. Rade custom often leads young women to marry early, but she chose to stay in school and finish her secondary education.
After high school she spent a year at Nha Trang National Ethnic Community College. She then moved to Ho Chi Minh City to study corporate finance at the College of Foreign Economic Relations. To cover her costs she worked as a domestic helper for a year. During a bank internship she began to think about modelling as a career.

In the final at Bangkok's Impact Arena on 17 December 2018 she reached the Top 5. In her Top 5 interview she said she did not think the #MeToo movement had gone too far.
