Biography
Ryan Cabrera is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist born in Dallas, Texas on July 18, 1982. He is best known for the 2004 hit "On the Way Down" and his platinum debut album Take It All Away, and is married to WWE wrestler Alexa Bliss.
Early Life
Ryan Frank Cabrera was born in Dallas to a Colombian father and an American mother and grew up in Flower Mound, Texas. He graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School in 2000. In high school he played in the punk band Caine and later in Rubix Groove, which opened for Cheap Trick and Third Eye Blind.
Career
Cabrera recorded the independent album Elm St. in 2001 and signed with Atlantic Records in 2002. His breakthrough single "On the Way Down" peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, and his debut album Take It All Away, released in August 2004, entered the Billboard 200 at number eight and was certified platinum. He followed it with You Stand Watching (2005) and The Moon Under Water (2008).
On television he appeared on The Ashlee Simpson Show (2004) and The Hills (2010) and hosted MTV's Score in 2005. He married Alexa Bliss on April 9, 2022 in Palm Desert, California, and their daughter Hendrix was born on November 27, 2023.
