Early Life
Lim played baseball as a pitcher for around a decade before a shoulder injury ended his playing career, after which he turned to modelling. On the show he said he hoped to experience love at first sight and that his ideal type resembled panellist Lee Da-hee.
Career
After leaving baseball, Lim worked as a model. Single's Inferno producers said he and Song Seung-il were the two younger cast members they had the highest hopes for during casting.
On Single's Inferno 5 he arrived as the first newcomer after the opening round of Paradise dates. Choi Mina Sue made an open approach to him, a move that drew attention in the Korean press, but he went on to focus on Park Hee-sun and the two chose each other in the final episode, released on 10 February 2026. At the reunion on 14 February, Lim said they had gone on about five dates in the month and a half before Park left for the United States and had kept in touch while she was abroad.
On 18 March 2026, Amorepacific's men's cosmetics brand B.READY named Lim and Song Seung-il as models for its social media content.
