Biography
Patcharapa "Aum" Chaichua is a Thai actress, model and television personality born in Bangkok on December 5, 1978. Known to Thai audiences as Aum Patcharapa, she has been one of the country's most recognisable lakorn (television drama) stars since the early 2000s.
Early Life
She was born Khaimuk Chaichua in Bangkok. She studied at Rangsit University and entered the entertainment industry in 1997 after winning the HACKS beauty and talent contest.
Career
Aum spent much of her career under contract with Channel 7 before going freelance. Her breakthrough came in 2003 as Pralee in Song Sanae Ha, a role that earned her the TOP Award for Best Leading Actress. Her other well-known dramas include Pleung Payu (2005) with Tana Suttikamol, Yey Fha Tha Din (2008) with Sukollawat Kanarot, Plerng Phra Nang (2017), in which she played the Imperial Noble Consort Ananthip, and Lom Phat Phan Dao (2023).
On the big screen she has appeared in Fake (2003), Ghost Mother (2010), Fabulous 30 (2011) and Tid Noy (2023). She won further TOP Awards in 2005 and 2010, and took Best Actress and the female Popular Vote at the 2012 Siam Dara Star Awards. Readers of Thai FHM voted her the country's sexiest woman three years running, from 2004 to 2006.
