Song Seung-il

Song Seung-il

Biography

Song Seung-il is a South Korean fashion marketer and model who was a cast member of the Netflix dating series Single's Inferno season 5 in 2026. Born in 2001, he works at a fashion marketing company and has modelled, including a cover appearance for Sure magazine in Korea.

On Single's Inferno 5 he was first drawn to Choi Mina Sue before settling on track athlete Kim Min-ji, who is five years older. The two chose each other in the finale.

Early Life

Song practises Brazilian jiu-jitsu and described himself on the show as intensely competitive, saying he hates losing so much that he cannot sleep if he does not come out on top. He also said he does not easily get attached to people.

Career

Song was introduced on Single's Inferno 5 as a fashion marketing executive, though Korean press also noted his modelling work. The show's producers said he and Lim Su-been were the two younger cast members they had the highest hopes for during casting.

His season storyline centred on Kim Min-ji. They went to Paradise together early in the season, and his indecision, including an early interest in Choi Mina Sue, made for one of the season's most-discussed arcs. They formed a final couple when the finale was released on 10 February 2026.

After the show, Kim said they had lost contact. In a March 2026 video on the YouTube channel of Super Junior's Kyuhyun, Song apologised for behaviour that may have felt like he had cut her off, and said he had already apologised to her privately. On 18 March 2026, Amorepacific's men's cosmetics brand B.READY named Song and Lim Su-been as models for its social media content.
